Today, the STP marketing model (Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning) is a familiar strategic approach in modern marketing. It is one of the most commonly applied marketing models in practice, with marketing leaders crediting it for efficient, streamlined communications practice. STP combined with persona development is the basis for all great marketing strategies. Personas are fictional characters, which you create based upon your research in order to represent the different user types that might use your service, product, site, or brand in a similar way.
Journey mapping
A customer journey map is a visual that helps marketers outline the story of a customer’s experience (from the first interaction with their business) to a long-term relationship, from the client’s point of view. Customer journey mapping gives you an insight into customers’ expectations of the brand at each step of their journey. This, in turn, helps you create customer experiences that motivate customers to reach the last point of the journey.
